The survey regarding current goverment and policies was conducted over the weekend. This article focus on the result of interpretation of the Constitution barring Japan from exercising the right to collective self-defense. The survey shows 62 percent of people from 1.054 responses who are eligible voters said the current constitutional interpretation of collective self-defense should remain intact. Though a government panel of outside experts who are critical of the current official interpretation took the survey, the result of it was against their stances. However, 58.9 percent of responses think this matter should be deliberated by a panel of experts, the survey shows the matter still be open to dispute.
