Shoapeng Huang, at the University of Wisconsin, show a view that moon is the good place to observe Earth's climate. In 1971, the instrument were inserted to moon's surface by the Apollo 15 mission. Huang got hold of this data, which spans mid-1972 to late 1975. The night-time temperature on the moon from this record are affected by Earth's radiation, Huang said. He explained increase in night-time temprature on the moon are caused by "global dimming", the phenomenon which led to cooler temperatures on Earth at the time and the Earth's radiation should decrease as rising levels of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere retain more and more of the sun's energy because the moon can feel its change. However, this article also refer to critical opinion by ," Bruce Wielicki of NASA. His view is that moon is tilted oribit relative to earth, Therefore, the Moon is a very poor place to monitor the Earth's changing radiation signal.
